Central State names William Ware to lead new Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs

Wilberforce, Ohio- Central State University has announced the appointment of William Ware as the new Head Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs. Ware, an Associate PGA professional with extensive coaching experience, is set to enhance the university’s golf offerings and boost its competitive edge within the SIAC conference.

Ware’s impressive career includes revitalizing the golf program at Wilberforce University, leading them to a notable first-place finish at the 2023 Morehouse Invitational. His background as a successful player and his innovative coaching methods at Ware’s The Green Golf, along with his partnerships with local schools, highlight his dedication to the sport.

Ware also serves as Program Director for Golf. My Future. My Game at the Miami Valley Golf Association. Ware has also developed strong relationships with organizations such as The PGA of America and The Black Golfers Alliance where he has driven initiatives to make golf more accessible to youth. His efforts in fundraising and community engagement have garnered over $150,000 in support for golf programs.
