Championship Bound: 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Set to Crown the Nation’s Best

The 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships are ready to tee off at Kingsmill Resort & Spa in Williamsburg, Virginia. Hosted by Christopher Newport University, the event will take place May 13–16 and features 34 programs and six individuals.

This year’s field includes 25 automatic qualifiers, each having won their respective conference championship, and nine at-large selections. Six individuals, not affiliated with a qualifying team, were also selected for their exceptional performances this season.

Among the most anticipated storylines is the return of Alison Takamiya of George Fox University, the 2024 individual champion. Takamiya returns to defend her crown against a talented field of players, including the six individual qualifiers: Emily Renoff (Bowdoin College), Becky Williams (DePauw University), Erin Donovan (Piedmont University), Emily Gresham (Methodist University), Grace Walker (Centre College), and Amanda Phillips (Wesleyan University, Connecticut).

The tournament will be conducted over four days, with both team and individual competitions happening concurrently. After 36 holes, the field will be narrowed to the top 15 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams. In team play, each squad’s four lowest scores each day will contribute to the team’s total score.

This cut will set the stage for a final-day showdown that promises drama, grit, and championship-level golf.
