2025 NCAA DI Women’s Golf Championship Preview

The stage is set. The stakes are high. And the best in collegiate women’s golf are heading to the beautiful Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, for the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship. From May 16 to 21, 30 elite teams and six standout individuals will tee it up with one goal in mind: bringing home a national title.

Regional Recap

The road to Carlsbad ran through six regional sites from May 5–7, each hosting 12 teams and six individuals not on qualifying teams. Only five teams and one individual from each site would punch their tickets to the championship. The competition? Intense. The performances? Unforgettable.

Charlottesville Regional

South Carolina came out strong, winning the regional and leading a talented group of qualifiers including Ole Miss, Florida, Virginia, and UCLA. NC State’s Marie Madsen also made her mark, earning the individual qualifying spot and solidifying her place among the nation’s best.

Columbus Regional

Kansas claimed the top spot in Columbus, with Arkansas, Ohio State, UNLV, and LSU close behind. Moa Svedenskiold of Houston rose to the occasion, qualifying as an individual and making sure her journey to nationals continued.

Gold Canyon Regional

Oregon emerged as champion in the Arizona desert, navigating tough conditions to top the leaderboard. Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, and Cal State Fullerton secured their spots as well. Auburn’s Anna Davis shined individually, securing her trip to Carlsbad.

Lexington Regional

Florida State led a strong field in Lexington, while Georgia Southern and Kansas State tied for second. Southern California and Vanderbilt rounded out the advancing teams. TCU’s Sofia Barroso Sá earned the individual berth and a chance to compete for the national title.

Lubbock Regional

Wake Forest continued its stellar form, winning in Lubbock ahead of Texas, Iowa State, Tennessee, and Purdue. Florida Gulf Coast’s Lousiane Gauthier took the individual spotlight, standing tall among a strong field.

Norman Regional

Stanford led a powerful pack in Norman, with Northwestern, Michigan State, Oklahoma, and Baylor also advancing. Furman’s Audrey Ryu was the standout individual, punching her ticket to California.

Championship Week

The championship tees off Friday, May 16, and runs through Wednesday, May 21. Over six days, teams and individuals will face off on a national stage, with championships on the line.
