Day Two at the 2025 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship

The 2025 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship saw a wave of movement during its second round at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan, as both individual and team standings shifted dramatically. As the field narrowed and the tension rose, standout performances set the stage for an exciting day two finals.
A Stellar Day for Individual Golfers
Among the notable moments of day two was the advancement of six individual golfers, who will compete in Thursday’s third round. These athletes, who are playing independently from the team competition, proved their resilience under pressure and made significant moves to secure their places in the next round.
- Cindy Koira of the University of Victoria displayed remarkable consistency throughout her round.
- Kasey Cameron from Midway University and Olivia Lange of William Penn University both remained strong contenders as the tournament progresses.
- Allison Meyerink of Dakota Wesleyan University, Carlin Paulk from the College of Coastal Georgia, and Iona Pollitt of The University of Tennessee Southern also secured spots for the third round.
Lange’s performance included one of the tournament’s most exciting highlights: a hole-in-one on the 150-yard par-3 fourth hole, a rare achievement that added a spark to an already thrilling day.

Jessica Ng Maintains Control at the Top
Jessica Ng of the University of British Columbia continues to dominate the individual leaderboard, posting her second consecutive 3-under-par round of 69. Ng’s round was defined by six birdies and three bogeys, bringing her total to 6-under-par through two rounds. Her stellar play has given her a commanding four-shot lead going into Thursday’s round.
Ng’s performance not only boosts her individual standing but has also propelled her team into a dominant position. The Thunderbirds made a significant improvement from round one, shooting a 288 on Wednesday—nine shots better than their opening round. UBC now holds a commanding lead atop the team standings, further solidifying their role as contenders for the national title.
Tight Race Behind the Leaders
While UBC holds a solid advantage, competition remains fierce behind them. Marian University (Ind.) sits in second place after trimming five strokes off their team score on Wednesday. Emma Weiler’s steady play has been key to the team’s performance.
Keiser University (Fla.) is in third place, posting a solid 294 in round two. Sophia Sindersberger has been the standout for Keiser, currently sitting in fifth place individually at 1-over-par after 36 holes.
In the individual race, Butapapaporn Sukterm of Lindsey Wilson College moved into fourth place after firing a 3-under-par 69. Sukterm is the only player at even par through two rounds, highlighting her impressive consistency.
Big Moves in the Team Standings
SCAD Atlanta made the biggest jump in the team competition, improving by 18 strokes to climb into fourth place overall. William Carey University (Miss.) and Milligan University (Tenn.) are tied for fifth, maintaining their positions in the top of the leaderboard.
With 15 teams advancing to the third round and six individual qualifiers moving on as well, the stage is set for a thrilling final two rounds. The leaderboard is tightening, and all eyes will be on the players as they aim for the top spot.
