Midway’s Depth on Display in Invitational Win Led by Cameron

Casey Cameron delivered a standout performance to claim medalist honors at the 2026 Kentucky Christian Spring Invitational, leading Midway University to a dominant team victory at Hidden Cove in Grayson, Kentucky.

Cameron opened the tournament with a solid 77 and followed it up with an 81 in the second round, finishing comfortably ahead of the field. Her consistent play secured a five-stroke victory over teammate Savannah Salchli, highlighting Midway’s depth and control throughout the event.

Midway University didn’t just win—they dominated. The team swept the top four individual spots, an impressive feat that underscored their cohesion and competitive edge. Cameron set the tone, but the supporting lineup ensured there was no opening for other teams to challenge.

The closest competitor outside of Midway came from Ohio Christian, where Tristan Wilson finished fifth with rounds of 85 and 88. While a respectable showing, it wasn’t enough to break Midway’s stronghold on the leaderboard.

Cameron’s performance adds to an already impressive résumé. She qualified for the NAIA National Championships in 2025, and this latest victory reinforces her status as one of the top collegiate golfers in the field. With composure, experience, and proven results, she continues to be a key figure in Midway’s success.

This tournament win not only highlights Cameron’s individual excellence but also signals Midway University’s strength as a team as they look ahead to future competition.
