Perrysburg Claims Team Title, Lauren Miller Takes Medalist Honors at Liberty Hills

West Liberty, Oh – Perrysburg and Lauren Miller of Archbishop Alter led the way at the Bellefontaine Lady Chieftain Invitational, held at Liberty Hills Golf Club, showcasing both individual excellence and team depth in a competitive field.
Perrysburg’s Yellow Jackets emerged as the top team, putting together a consistent performance to secure the team title with a score of 373 (+93). Competing in Division I, District Northwest, Perrysburg demonstrated balance across the lineup, with junior Kennedy Thacker tying for second individually with an 82 (+12) and Isabelle Fick finishing in a tie for sixth after carding a 94 (+24). Their strong showing across multiple positions proved key in taking home the top team honor.
On the individual leaderboard, it was Archbishop Alter’s Lauren Miller who stood out above the rest. The senior and University of Dayton commit fired a 74 (+4) to win medalist honors. Her steady play throughout the round kept her ahead of the field, capping off a strong day with a comfortable lead.
Miller was chased by a talented group that included Thacker and Riley Donnelly of Graham Local, who both posted rounds of 82 (+12). Addison Accurso and Zoe Swearingen, both from Tecumseh, claimed fourth and fifth respectively with scores of 88 and 90. Three players tied for sixth with 94: Catherine Bramlage of Benjamin Logan, Fick of Perrysburg, and Gillian Steele of Bellefontaine.
Archbishop Alter, led by Miller’s medalist round and a ninth-place finish from Jordan Thornburg (95), took second in the team standings with a total score of 394 (+114). Bellefontaine rounded out the top three teams at 400 (+120).
