NAIA Women’s Golf Championship Returns to Eagle Crest in 2026
The road to the 2026 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship is officially set. On May 8, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 30-team field and six individual qualifiers who will compete for the national title May 19-22 at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
This year marks the 31st annual NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship and the second time Eagle Crest Golf Club has hosted the prestigious event. With powerhouse programs returning and several conferences heavily represented, the stage is set for another exciting championship week.
Defending national champion British Columbia enters the tournament looking to continue its dominant run after capturing the Red Banner last season. The Thunderbirds earned an automatic bid through the Cascade Collegiate Conference and will attempt to make even more history in 2026. A repeat title would give British Columbia its eighth NAIA national championship, setting a new all-time record for most Red Banners in NAIA Women’s Golf history.
British Columbia and Keiser (Fla.) have controlled the championship landscape in recent years, combining to win the last six national titles. British Columbia has claimed four championships during that stretch, while Keiser has won two. Keiser returns to the field this season as an at-large selection out of The Sun Conference.
Conference representation will once again play a major role in the championship. The Appalachian Athletic Conference and The Sun Conference each placed four teams into the national tournament, the highest total among all conferences. Meanwhile, the Cascade Collegiate Conference, Southern States Athletic Conference, and Mid-South Conference each earned three spots in the field.
Fans will be able to follow every moment of the championship action through the Urban Edge Network and the NAIA Network, with coverage produced by The National Golf Network. Live scoring, leaderboards, and tournament statistics will also be available throughout the event on the Clippd Scoreboard platform.
First- and second-round pairings, along with tee times for May 19-20, are scheduled to be announced on Monday, May 11.
